Model Context Protocol (MCP)

Connect QrX toyour AI assistant

Ask about your stock, orders and returns in plain language, and make small, safe changes.

QrX supports the Model Context Protocol (MCP). Merchants and fulfilment partners connect QrX to Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, Claude Code or any other MCP client. The assistant only sees what you may already see in QrX.

What it can read

You choose what it may see

Each scope is limited to what your user may already see in QrX. Tick only what you need.

  • Stock and warehouseStock levels, warehouses, orders waiting, counts and inbound deliveries.
  • OrdersOrder and payment status, unpaid payments and parcels that need attention.
  • Returns
  • Products
  • InsightsSales dashboard, payments at the door, your QrX invoices and a summary of today.
  • Message Centre overviewOpt-in. Without any message text.
  • Message textOpt-in. Only when you tick it.

What it can change

Small changes, always confirmed

The Warehouse changes scope is off by default and needs Stock and warehouse. Every change is shown as a preview first and only happens after you confirm. QrX logs each change with your name and the assistant's name.

  • Park or prioritise orders
  • Correct stock, always with a reason
  • Quarantine and release stock
  • Link an unmapped product to a stock item
  • Start a stock count from a count plan
  • Prioritise a backorder
  • Create, change or cancel an inbound order
What it can never do
  • Create, ship or cancel orders
  • Print labels
  • Take payments or refund
  • Delete anything
  • Change settings, users or permissions

Safety and privacy

Your permissions, nothing more

The assistant works inside the same limits as your own QrX login.

  • Your own permissions. The assistant gets exactly your QrX permissions and only the scopes you ticked.
  • No QrX admin data. Data that only QrX admins may see is never shared.
  • Masked email addresses. Consumer email addresses are masked.
  • Every change logged. With your name and the assistant's name.
  • Disconnect any time. In Settings > Advanced > Connected apps in the QrX portal at https://portal.qr-x.app.

Who it is for

Included on every paid plan

The MCP connector is included for every customer on a paid plan. Warehouse tools appear when the WMS module is active, and returns tools when your QrX role may manage returns.
